Based on the Survey of Romans by Keith R. Blades. Begin with the Preface, then take Romans one day at a time — read the teaching and listen along.
No sign-up The reader opens in any web browser — phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.
Where you left off It remembers where you left off, so the next time you open it you land on the day you were on. You can mark a day as finished, star the ones you want to return to, and read at whatever pace suits you.
Phone and computer On a phone or a tablet held upright, the reading fills the screen and the list of days opens from a button when you want it, so you are not scrolling past navigation to reach the teaching. On a computer or a tablet held sideways, the day list sits alongside the reading where there is room for it.
Home screen It can also be added to your home screen, so it opens with a tap like any other app on your phone.
Printing Any day can be printed — the reading on its own, without the players and buttons, headed and footed on every page. The same button will save it as a PDF if you would rather keep it that way.
The queue If you prefer to listen through several days at a stretch, each day can be added to a queue that plays straight through in order. A day’s Further Study recording, where there is one, follows the day it belongs to rather than being left to the end.
Playback speed Each player has a speed control beside it, so a session can be taken at 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 or 2 times its recorded pace. The setting is remembered and applies to every recording in the reader.
By default everything streams, and you need a connection to listen. If you would rather have the material on hand you can save it to your device instead — entirely optional, and the reader works perfectly well without it.
Saving a cornerstone Saving is done one cornerstone at a time, never all at once. Open a cornerstone and a button at the top of the day list offers to save that section: every Scripture passage, teaching session, Further Study recording and study sheet it contains. It tells you the size before you begin, marks the days already stored, and from then on that section opens and plays with no internet at all. Save one cornerstone and leave the rest streaming, or remove a saved section at any time to free the space.
Cornerstones are large — a full one runs to several hundred megabytes. If you are on a phone plan with limited data, do the saving over wi‑fi.
